After a delay of several months, service on this aircraft is due to begin officially on March 27, 2022 between Copenhagen (CPH) and Washington DC (IAD). But it’s also operating a handful of special flights this week, first to Oslo and then to DC – so we can finally bring you this video now that it’s flying the general public! This plane is unique not only because it’s the first long-haul configured narrow-body for SAS, but also (especially) because that includes a premium economy class (SAS Plus) laid out 2-by-2. While it’s not unusual to find an A321LR these days configured with lie-flat business class seats, as many airlines are turning to these planes to serve less-trafficked routes that nevertheless have some demand, finding a premium economy like this onboard is completely new. It’s a lot like flying domestic first class in the US – not a terrible way to cross the Atlantic at all. Let us know what you think.
