A comfortable flight on the Emirates A380 from Dubai to Madrid. For the first time, I went on an Emirates A380 plane with no free seats next to me and I can say even this way, it’s more comfortable than any other plane. What an amazing cabin! Talking about the flight route, we took off from Dubai towards the south, and quickly after departure, we made an almost 180° turn back to Dubai. The views of Dubai downtown were more than marvelous. They were just perfect! Finally, I had more than 30 seconds of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall without any turbulence! It was really amazing! On today’s flight, we took a southerly route. That means we flew over the Persian Gulf towards Bahrein, then Saudi Arabia and Jordania. We then entered the Mediterranean sea and flew directly to Creta island. From there we left Malta on our left and flew over Tunis. We entered the Peninsula over Valencia, already on direct course to Madrid, where we landed on runway 18L after a nice approach over the mountains. About the catering service, there were 2 services. A “continental breakfast” (at least that’s what they call an apple pastry and yogurt) and the main lunch. I went for the chicken option, with broccoli, rice, and tomato sauce. The other option was beef with mashed potatoes. That main meal included a pasta salad, some cheese and bread, and a dessert. Everything was tasty, but I had better meals onboard Emirates already.
